Born and raised on isles of the Dutch & French Caribbean, currently based in Amsterdam, Kris Berry’s first single titled HOLD ON (from the forthcoming album BERRY STREET) is out; now you can get a glimpse of what's to come :)!

In search of the sound for the new album, Berry merged gospel, soul, hip-hop, and her love for the nineties in a most sensual way.
BERRY STREET, in many ways, is a harmonic configuration of most of her childhood; ghetto blaster on her shoulder; Southern Gospel from recollections of Sunday school hymns. The echo of Nina Simone on grandma’s radio, as well as the imprint of an ever-eclectic message from Wyclef Jean to Tracey Chapman.

A "personal, rhythmic, soulful and modern take on the nineties" - inspired by a wide range of artists and a cross-genre perspective. Think Staple Singers, Bobbie Gentry, Eryka Badu and Quadron.
HOLD ON is the first single from her second album, BERRY STREET, to be released in The Netherlands and online Worldwide on May 19th of 2017.
